We also work to identify and nurture new philanthropic funders and investors into the space. This can include foundations and individuals just learning about the importance of reforming the food system, or people from other countries who may be unaware of the philanthropic opportunities in their own countries. Improving the human food system by reducing its reliance on animal products has clear benefits for the climate, environmental preservation generally, animal welfare, human longevity, reducing pandemic and antibiotic resistance risk, food security, and social justice. Philanthropists interested in any of these areas should be supporting our efforts, and/or investing in businesses that can be part of the solution.
