Balanced Proteins

Balanced Protein is a term to describe meat products (burgers, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, hot dogs, etc.) that preserve–or even enhance–the taste of conventional meat while diversifying the nutritional profile and reducing the environmental impact by replacing at least 30% of animal ingredients with plant-based substitutes.

In the food industry, these products have been referred to as “blended” or “hybrid” meats. This is very much in distinction to filler used by meat companies to try to lower the cost of their processed meat products. Balanced Proteins are familiar high-quality meat products with beneficial ingredients to create an uncompromisingly delicious product with relevant benefits.

Balanced Proteins offer a practical, middle ground solution that aligns with current consumer preferences and industry practices while tackling critical inefficiencies in our food system. With familiar forms, flavors, and textures, these products offer a bridge to broader consumer adoption and industry participation. Whether you're a consumer seeking better value or a food manufacturer looking to strengthen supply chains, Balanced Protein presents a compelling opportunity.
