After starting his strategy career in the most impactful creative agencies in Germany, he moved to London to lead AKQA’s work with Nike developing digital marketing and fitness services. During his over ten years at Facebook, Instagram, and Meta, Nico empowered the biggest advertisers in the world, and millions of small businesses using these platforms, to connect with people through creativity to grow their brands and businesses effectively.
Along this journey, Nico has built teams envisioning and unleashing the future of people-first, data-enabled, creativity-fueled marketing.
In the last two years, Nico has led development of Meta’s first climate myth-busting and misinformation inoculation campaigns. He is now investing his heart, mind, and time fully into helping impact-driven companies and organizations shift culture and consumer behaviors away from unsustainable, unhealthy and unethical animal foods.
As a practitioner of Soto Zen and a curious plant-based foodie, he loves inspire people of all walks of life to find their very own path to more compassionate eating.
